Ben Finkelstein, a right-handed defenseman, was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the 7th round of the 2016 NHL Draft.

Finkelstein, a native of Burlington, VT, played four years of his youth career with the Green Mountain Glades – Squirt through Bantam (1997).   After completing eighth grade in South Burlington, Finkelstein head to New Hampshire for two years at Cardigan Mountain School before spending the past three years at KUA. He also played in 11 games for the Boston Jr. Bruins U18 Selects

In 2015, he committed to play for St. Lawrence University, (NCAA D1) for the fall of 2016-17.
