The Patriots had a win and a tie in the week ending 1/15. Blumberg scored with 4:21 left to produce a 2-1 victory over the Advantage – and Trant scored with 3:43 left to give the Patriots a 2-2 tie with the Avalanche, who got a goal and an assist apiece from Ben Steeves and Alex Gagne.

In games of the week ending 1/22, Pat Somerville scored twice as the Rangers defeated the Patriots 4-1; and Considine and Milso both posted a goal and an assist as the Advantage topped the Avalanche 4-2.

The Patriots, Avalanche and Warriors Elites all won twice. Tom Warzynski’s second goal of the game started a rally with 12:54 left, Ryan Goodwin then came through with 6:56 remaining and Warzynski then capped a hat trick 38 seconds later to give the Patriots a 6-5 decision over the Rangers, Alex Culot with 1-1-2 in the win and Quin Cepiel and Jack McLaughlin 2-1-3 apiece, Angelo Mario 1-1-2 and Dom Laiosa two assists in the loss – and Bode Hester and Franklin Zessis shared the shutout, Gregg Dennison scored twice and Connor MacLean two assists in a 3-0 victory over the Advantage; Cooper Flinton scored what turned out to be the winner 37 seconds into the second period as the Avs edged the Rifles 3-2 – and Zachary Moores clicked for 2-1-3, Pat Last and William O’Keefe both also scored twice and Alex Forward had two assists in an 8-4 triumph over the Wizards; Shane LaCahnce scored two goals and set up two others, Will Conway. Also scored twice and Colin Van Stry also had two assists as the Warriors topped Seacoast 5-1 – and Drew Blackwell clicked for 1-1-2, LaChance had two assists and Charlie Dean scored the goal that turned out to be the winner in the second period of a 5-4 decision over Seacoast;

Reid Demain scored seven seconds into Seacoast’s 3-0 win over the Advantage; Matt Burke had a goal and two assists and Cole Guidrey scored twice as the Rifles topped the Warriors Selects 5-2; and Brendan Gorman came through with 2-1-3, Gavin Walsh and Matt Fusco both had 1-1-2 and Jack Toomey two assists as the Wizards defeated the Warrior Elites 7-2.

The Rifles and Seacoast both won twice. Pat Schutz and Luke Stacey both had two goals and an assist as the Blazers topped the Rangers 7-2 – and Schutz capped a hat trick with one second left to give Boch a 4-3 decision over the Advantage, No. 8 with two goals in the loss; Kyle Smyth scored what proved to be the winner in the second period of Seacoast’s 4-1 victory over the Rangers – and Bryce Terry and Tyson Sylvia both had a goal and two assists, Oliver Genest scored twice and Gavin Sperlich came within 3:19 of a shutout in a 4-1 win over the Advantage;

Ryan Leonard scored four goals and Nick DiSanti had a goal and an assist as the Rifles downed the Avalanche 6-3; Henry Schmidek and Cam Fici both clicked for 2-1-3, Dan Markham and Olivier Chessler both posted 2-1-3 and Ryan Griffin and Aaron Matthews shared the shutout in the Wizards’ big win over the Warrior Selects; and Aidan LeBlanc scored twice and AJ Harb had two assists as the Warrior Selects downed the Rangers 8-1.

The Rangers won three games, the Patriots won twice and Seacoast had a win and a tie. Will Johnson scored two goals and set up another, Teddy McLaughlin and Nick Bergland both posted 1-1-2 and Max Murray had two assists as the Rangers topped the Glades 5-1; Jake Vana wore the hat, and Mike Nigro, Teddy McLaughlin, Quinn Moses and Murray all had two assists and Otto McLaughlin pitched a shutout in a big win over Vermont – and Nigro scored twice, Johnson had two assists and McLaughlin pitched a shutout in a 5-0 victory over the Saints; Landan Resendes wore the hat and had an assist, Monique Lyons scored twice, John Cronin had 1-1-2 and Connor Dozois and Dylan Mansur posted two assists apiece as the Patriots defeated the Advantage Ice 6-2 – and Resendes clicked for 2-1-3 and Sean Farrell also scored twice in a 4-1 victory over the Advantage Elites; Hunter Belisle scored with 3:37 left to give Seacoast a 2-1 decision over the Warrior Elites – and Cam O’Connell’s second goal of the game, with 2:31 left in the second period and the teams scored all six goals in the second as the Advantage Elites tied Seacoast 3-3;

Dan Domeniconi scored his second and third goals of the game in the third period, Jake Calvani posted 1-1-2 and No. 15 had two assists as the Advantage Ice nipped the Saints 5-4; Steve Kilcoyne had a goal and three assists in a four-goal second period that lifted the Wizards past the Warrior Elites 4-2; and Eli Chilicki scored twice in the first period as the Avalanche trimmed the Wizards 4-2.

2006

The Patriots and Rifles both won twice. Hunter Steiner scored with 12:44 left to give the Patriots a 2-1 decision over the Advantage – and Cole Oberg scored the winner with 12:58 remaining and Tyler Hamilton and Connor McKenna both posted 1-1-2 in a 3-2 victory over the Rangers; Ben McHugh pitched a shutout, Zach Buffone scored with 10:38 left and the Rifles scored all three goals in a 2:14 span as the Rifles topped the Rangers 3-0 – and Maurice Kearney had 1-1-2 and the Rifles scored four in the third period and trimmed the Knights 5-2;

Kiernan Poulin scored twice as the Advantage downed Seacoast 5-2 – Max Dinneen and Tyler Montecalvo with 1-1-2 apiece in the loss; and John Mireault clicked for 1-2-3, Derek Daley scored twice and Anthony Cerbone and Tyler Killilea both posted 1-1-2 to lead the Warriors to a big win over the Wizards.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ben McHugh, Rifles


2007

The Warriors and Wizards both won a game and tied each other. Fidler and Norris both scored twice, Walsh and Lambert both posted a goal and an assist and Belleville and Miga both had two assists as the Warriors scored a big win over Seacoast; Jack McEleney scored twice, Seamus McMakin and Freddy Meyer all clicked for 1-1-2, Alex Robbins and Jack Lee both handed out two assists and Garrett Glaser came within 1:06 left as the Wizards defeated the Knights 6-1 – and No. 6 scored with 1:41 left in the second period to end the scoring and give the Warriors a 1-1 tie with the Wizards, who got a second-period goal from Matt Hall;

In the other game, Joe Maffia wore the hat to power the Rifles a 6-1 victory over the Saints.
