In the other game, Sean Senier scored twice as Advantage Ice nipped the Advantage Selects 4-2.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Freitas and Butler, Avalanche
The Avalanche rode an offensive explosion to a pair of wins. Nathan Glencross scored one goal and dished out three assists, Pat Last wore a natural hat, Robert Mariniello also had three assists, William O’Keefe, Nick Plaza and Cooper Flinton all posted 1-1-2 and Zach Mooers had two assists in a big win over Seacoast – and Glencross again had a goal and three assists, O’Keefe clicked for 2-1-3, Grady Chretien scored twice and Marintiello had 1-1-2 in a loud win over the Warrior Selects;
Brendan Gorman handed out four assists, John Houser delivered a goal and two assists, Brendan Monahan scored twice, Matt Fusco and Dennis Caissie both posted 1-1-2 and Ben Clarke and Cole Wagner shared the shutout as the Wizards downed the Warrior Selects 7-0; and Mike Santonelli wore the hat and had an assist and Angelo Mario clicked for 2-1-3 as the Rangers defeated the Advantage Elites 7-3 – Sylvester with two goals in the loss.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Nathan Glencross, Avalanche
The Avalanche and Wizards both won twice. Mason Kesselring, who also had an assist, scored his second goal of the game with 35 seconds left and it turned out to be the winner, Matt Hale also scored twice and Tucker Shedd had two assists as the Avs scored six goals in the second period and nipped Seacoast 7-5, Aaron Higgins with 1-2-3, Brandon Caro two goals and Kyle Smyth and No. 8 two assists apiece in the win — and Kesselring wore the hat and had an assist, Ian Kula scored twice, Quinn Booth posted 1-1-2 and Kevin Jones and Kaleb Maccioli came within 1:54 of a shared shutout in a 7-1 triumph over the Warrior Elites; Bruce Li scored the winner in the second period as the Wizards edged the Advantage 2-1 – and Matt Ardito scored two goals and handed out three assists, Henry Schmidek also scored twice and Nick Townshend and No. 9 both had 1-1-2 in a 9-1 victory over the Warrior Selects;
Galvin had 1-1-2, No. 19 had two assists and Haggerty pitched a shutout as the Advantage downed the Rangers 4-0; Ryan Leonard clicked for 2-1-3, Matt Clute also scored twice, San Cocchi and Nick DiSanti both posted 1-1-2 and Josh Iby had two assists as the Rifles topped the Blazers 9-2; and Declan Walsh scored with 32 seconds left to give the Blazers a 4-3 decision over the Warrior Elites – Evan Pennucci with two goals and Brenden Fitzgerald two assists in the loss.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Mason Kesselring, Avalanche
The Rangers and Advantage Elites both won a game and tied each other. Mike Nigro and Nick Berglund scored 58 seconds apart early in a three-goal second period as the Rangers topped Seacoast 3-0; Gage Graybill snapped a 2-2 tie with 1:39 remaining as the Advantage trimmed the Wizards 4-2 – and Ryan Coutts scored with 5:49 left to give the Advantage a 1-1 tie with the Rangers, Jake Vana with a first-period goal for the Rangers;
Joe Young and Zach McHugh scored late goals and Tessa Damain had two goals and an assist as Seacoast got by the Avalanche 5-3; Roenick scored twice in the second period and Osterberg had two assists as Advantage Ice nipped the Wizards 4-2; Eli Chilicki scored four goals, Jack Doherty posted 1-2-3 and Jack Shoemaker also had two assists as the Avalanche defeated the Saints 6-1; and Landan Resendes wore the hat and had two assists, Liam Marek posted 2-1-3, Monique Lyons had 1-1-2 and James Tucker also had two assists as the Patriots downed the Warrior Elites 7-3 – Joe Bucci with three assists and Ty Wood two goals in the loss.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Landan Resendes, Patriots
The Glades defeated the Knights twice. Wyatt Sancibrian scored one goal and set up two others, Cooper Ludwar scored twice and Lucas Van Mullen also had two assists in a 6-2 win – and Van Mullen scored what turned out to be the winner with 10:59 left in the second period of a 4-2 victory;
Kole Hyles scored one goal and dished out three assists and Cam Babcock and Ronnie Hill both posted a goal and an assist in Seacoast’s 5-2 win over the Wizards; Brendan Abban scored two goals and handed out two assists, Colin Blake and Denny Monahan both clicked for 2-1-3, Kevin Delay had 1-2-3 and Evan Presser and Justin Watson two assists as the Advantage scored a big win over the Rangers; and Ryan Vedovelli scored with 12:27 left to give the Rifles a 2-2 tie with the Warrior Elites.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Lucas Van Mullen, Glades
The Patriots won twice and the Warrior Elites a win and a tie. Jack McDonald scored two goals and an assist, Dylan Krayer scored one goal and dished out two assists, Jack Kilcoyne also scored twice and Ryan Magaletta also had two assists as the Patriots defeated Seacoast 9-1 – and Joey Meade had 1-1-2 and six different players scored a goal in a 6-1 win over the Warrior Elites; Miga had a goal and two assists, Norris scored twice and Belleville posted 1-1-2 as the Warriors downed the Rifles 6-2 – and Fidler scored with 12:26 left and McCarthy, who also had an assist, followed with 11:50 remaining to give the Warriors a 3-3 tie with the same team, Vinnie Mercadante with two goals and Matt Bolduc two assists for the Rifles;
In the other game, Ben Ohanian scored with 6:05 left to give the Wizards a 2-2 tie with the Saints.
