The Warriors Full Season team won twice behind a pair of shutouts by Kevin Burkett and Mathew Gover – Alex Furry scoring in the first period of a 1-0 victory over the Wizards; and Furry setting up both goals and Charles Adessa scoring in the first period of a 2-0 victory over the Rangers.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: None
Seacoast posted a win and a tie. Brett Niland scored one goal and set up two others and Atticus Roop came through with a goal and an assist in a 4-2 victory over the Warrior Selects – and Jacob Iby of the Rifles and Owen Reid of the Spartans swapped goals in a 1-1 tie;
Nathan Glencross scored two goals and set up another, Pat Last and William O’Keefe both had a goal and an assist and Cal Welsh pitched a shutout as the Avalanche topped the Patriots 5-0; Cody Plaza scored with 2:49 left to give the Rangers a 4-3 decision over the Avalanche – Cooper Flinton with two goals in the loss; and Mike Dinges and Drew Blackwell both clicked for 1-1-2 and Gavin Kiley and Andrew Kazanijian shared the shutout as the Warrior Elites defeated the Rangers 4-0.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Brett Niland, Seacoast
The Avalanche won twice and Seacoast had a win and a tie. Ryan Philbrick, who also had an assist, scored the winner with 2:28 left and Ryan Doherty had two assists as the Avs edged the Rangers 3-2 – and Matt Hale, who also had an assist, scored two goals in 32 seconds and Doherty and Lorenzo Corsetto both had a goal and an assist in a 7-2 triumph over the Blazers; No. 13 scored twice and Oliver Genest handed out two assists as Seacoast trimmed the Rifles 4-2, Nick DiSanti with both goals in the loss – and Nick Nardone scored his second goal of the game with 5:53 left and then assisted when Perry (1-1-2) scored with 1:22 remaining to give the Warrior Selects a 4-4 tie with Seacoast, Jack Toohey with 1-1-2 for the Warriors and Genest two goals and an assist for the Spartans;
Cam Fici scored twice, Jack Farrell had a goal and an assist and Matt Ardito two assists as the Wizards topped the Rifles 7-2; Gavin Moynihan (1-1-2) scored with 5:20 left and Luke Stacey followed with 3:53 on the clock to give the Blazers a 6-5 victory over the Warrior Selects – Jac Young with 1-2-3, Pat Schultz two goals and Declan Walsh 1-1-2 in the win; and Cole Daniel had a goal and two assists, Zach Raposa scored twice, Robbie Granara had 1-1-2 , Brendan Fitzgerald and Kai Roberto both posted two assists and Jackson Irving and Tim Briley shared the shutout as the Warrior Elites stopped the Rangers 7-0.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Oliver Genest, Seacoast
The Patriots had two wins and a tie, going 1-0-1 against the Glades. Landan Resendes scored two goals in 58 seconds and Sean Farrell had two assists in a 5-1 victory over Vermont; Resendes wore the hat, John Cronin posted 2-1-3, Dylan Mansur also scored twice and Connor Dozois had two assists in a 9-1 win over the Glades – and No. 16 of the Pats and Nick Berglund of the Rangers swapped goals in a 1-1 tie;
Zach Khozozian snapped a 3-3 tie in the second period, Matt Ryan had 1-1-2 and the Wizards overcame a 3-0 first-period deficit and went on to a 6-3 victory over the Saints, who got two goals from Eison Nee; Ty Wood, who also had an assist, scored what turned out to be the winner with 4:48 left in the second period as the Warriors edged the Rangers 3-2; and Alex Clemmey and Ryan Nichols both scored twice, Pat Murphy and Andrew Bradley both posted 1-1-2, Nee had two assists and Jared Johnson pitched a shutout in the Saint’s 6-0 win over Seacoast.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Landon Resendes, Patriots
The Warriors won twice, Seacoast and the Glades both won a game and tied each other, Secoast going 2-0-1 and the Glades 1-1-2 during the week; and the Patriots downed and tied Vermont. Brendan Murnane scored four goals, including a natural hat, Griffin Bucci posted 2-1-3 and Kyle Donnelly three assists in the Warriors;’ big win over the Rifles – and Mike Sullivan clicked for1-2-3, Aiden Pinet had 1-1-2 and Derek Daley two assists in a 7-2 victory over the Rangers; Wyatt Sancibrian scored with 5:59 left to give the Glades a 2-1 decision over Seacoast; James Chase had 1-1-2 as the Glades rallied for two goals down and tied the Spartans 2-2 – and Kole Hyles, who also had an assist, snapped a 2-2 tie with 3:37 left as Seacoast got by the Wizards 4-2; Jay Carter had 2-1-3, Dan Menyalkin and Cole Oberg both also scored twice and Hunter Steiner added two assists in the Patriots’ 8-2 win over the Glades, Sancibrian with both goals in the loss – and Chase (1-1-2) scored with 2:56 left to give Vermont a 3-3 tie with the Pats, Cooper Ludwar with 1-1-2 for the Glades and Oberg two goals and Carter two assists for the Patriots.
In the other game, Joe Maffia wore the hat and had an assist, Ian Crowley clicked for 2-2-4, Maurice Kearney, Alex Gomes and No. 77 all posted 1-1-2 and Ryan Veldovelli also had two assists as the Rifles defeated the Wizards 10-2.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: James Chase, Glades
The Patriots won twice. Joey Meade scored his second goal of the game with 1:58 left and then came through to cap his hat trick with 25.1 seconds remaining, giving the Patriots a 6-5 decision over the Saints, Dylan Beard with two goals and Louie Morabella two assists in the win and Giacomo Caliri 2-1-3 and Liam McIntosh two goals in the loss – and Connor Fitzpatrick pitched a shutout and Ryder Busto scored in the first period of a 3-0 victory over the Knights;
Ryder Tremblay, who also had an assist, scored the tying goal with 2:30 left, Vinnie Mercadente had 1-1-2 and Joe Maffia two assists as the Rifles pulled out a 4-4 tie with the Wizards, who got two goals from Jack Lee, 1-1-2 from Jack Donovan and two assists from Jack McEleney; and Parker O’Toole wore the hat, Landan Beattie clicked for 2-1-3 and Brady Proulx had 1-2-3 as the Avalanche defeated the Rangers 9-5 – Liam Roe and Ian Dalton with 2-1-3 apiece in the loss.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Joey Meade, Patriots
The Advantage ’08 Elites again won twice. Conal Mulkerrin and Casey Mutryn both scored twice in a 7-5 victory over Seacoast – Cam Clark with two goals, Jamie Glance a goal and an assist and Taylor Holmes two assists in the loss – and Mutryn wore the hat, Dan O’Connell dished out three assists, Cam McKenna scored twice and Mulkerrin had 1-1-2 in a big win over the Chiefs.
Matt Krayer scored two goals and set up another and William Manchuso also scored twice as the Patriots downed the Crusaders 4-0; and Cam Doull scored five goals, two of them 19 seconds apart. and set up another and Pat Callahan had 1-1-2 in the Wizards’ 9-4 triumph over the Advantage Selects, who got 1-1-2 from Nate Kenney.
