Timmy Kobelski scored what turned out to be the winner with 9:16 left as the Rangers downed Advantage Ice 5-2; Max Trawick scored one goal and set up two others, Griffin Masseur scored twice and Jack Pascucci had a goal and an assist as Warriors Half Season defeated the Wizards 6-1; and Charlie Adessa scored with 4:35 left and Warriors Full Season rallied from two goals down to tie the River Rats 2-2.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: Max Trawick, Warriors

2003

The Avalanche won twice and the Rangers had a win and a tie. Zach Moores and William O’Keefe both had a goal and an assist in the Avs’ 4-1 victory over the Wizards – and Moores and Nick Plaza both delivered 1-1-2 in a 4-1 win over the Advantage; Quinn Cepiel, Jack McLaughlin and Will Vaccari scored in a 1:58 span early, McLaughlin and Vaccari scoring 12 seconds apart, and seven different players connected as the Rangers defeated the Warrior Selects 7-1 – and Jack Moltenbrey scored with 5:07 left to give the Rifles a 2-2 tie with the Rangers;

Drew Blackwell wore the hat, Shane LaChance dished out three assists, Colin Van Stry scored twice, Chris O’Grady had a goal and an assist and Gavin Kiley and Andrew Kazanjian shared the shutout as the Warriors topped the Advantage 7-0; Dorian Hu wore the hat, Chris Sullivan scored two goals in 35 seconds and No. 14 posted two assists as the Wizards defeated Seacoast 6-2; and Aaron Zenus scored twice as the Warrior Selects edged the Patriots 3-2.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Zach Moores, Avalanche

2004

The Rifles won three games and the Wizards two. Ryan Leonard wore the hat and had an assist in the Rifles’ 6-1 victory over the Wizards; Josh Iby scored two goals and set up another and Matt Clute and Andrew Bolduc both came through with a goal and two assists in a 5-2 win over the Rangers – and Leonard wore another hat in a 4-1 triumph over the Warrior Selects; Matt Ardito scored two goals and set up another, Ben MacDonald had a goal and two assists and Nathan Szpak dished out three assists, the Wizards scoring three times in the first period and going on to defeat the Avalanche 3-2 – and Szpak scored twice and MacDonald had a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over the Blazers;

Andrew Perry wore the hat and had an assist, Dylan Cianci scored two goals and set up another and Will Nardone scored twice as the Warrior Selects trimmed the Blazers 7-4 – Owen McHugh with 1-1-2 in the loss; and Aiden LeBlanc wore the hat, Nick Nardone delivered a goal and two assists and Cullen Dolan had 1-1-2 as the Warriors Elites stopped the Rangers 7-0.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ryan Leonard, Rifles

2005

The Rangers had two wins, both over the Glades, and a tie, the Patriots also won twice and the Advantage Elites had a win and a tie. Teddy McLaughlin had a goal and an assist and Quinn Moses two assists in the Rangers’ 3-1 win over Vermont; Otto McLaughlin scored early in the second period of a 1-0 decision (coaches, I need a goalie for the shutout???) – and Max Murray scored with 12 seconds left to give the Rangers a 1-1 tie with Advantage Ice; Landan Resendes scored twice and Monique Lyons scored what turned out to be the winner with 26 seconds left as the Patriots scored all four goals in the second period and edged Advantage Ice 4-3, Bullock with two goals in the loss – and Resendes wore the hat and had three assists, Lucas Magliozzi and Lyons both scored two goals and set up another, Liam Marek posted 1-2-3, Brendan Janis also scored twice and John Cronin also posted two assists in a big win over the Saints; Travis Rugg scored twice as the Advantage nipped the Avalanche 3-2, Jack Doherty with 1-1-2 in the loss – and Ty Wood scored with 17 seconds left to give the Warriors a 2-2 tie with the Advantage Elites,

In the other game, Ryan Nolan pitched a shutout and Cam Keaveney scored in the first period as Seacoast edged the Wizards 1-0;

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Landan Resendes, Patriots

2006

The Patriots won twice and the Rifles and Advantage both won a game and tied each other. Ryan Martin pitched a shutout and Matt Welch scored with 6:30 left as the Patriots edged the Warriors 1-0 – and Tyler Hamilton clicked for two goals and two assists, Welch also scored twice and Luc Masse had a goal and an assist in a 6-3 victory over the Wizards; Jacob Jarrell scored twice as the Rifles beat the Glades 5-2; Wilson pitched a shutout and Poulin scored in the first period as the Advantage edged the Knights 1-0 – and Alex Gomes scored with 6:34 left to give the Rifles a 3-3 tie with the Advantage, Blake’s second goal of the game capping a three-goal first period for the Advantage;

In the other game, James Chase scored two goals and set up two others and Tommy Jacques and Ethan Roy came within 1:44 of a shutout as the Glades trimmed the Rifles 4-1.

2007

The Wizards won twice and the Rifles came through with a win and a tie. Myles Brosnan and Jack Lee both scored twice and Matt Hall had two assist in the Wizards’ 5-2 victory over the Patriots – and Jack Donovan wore the hat and had an assist, Hall delivered a goal and two assists and Alex Robbins also posted two assists in a 7-4 triumph over Seacoast; Joe Maffia, who also had an assist, scored his second goal of the game with the score that turned out to be the winner with 6:51 left, Dom Fiorentino had 1-2-3, Matt Bolduc scored twice and Parker Murch also had two assists as the Rifles edged Seacoast 6-5 – and Evan Beveridge (2-1-3) scored with 2:50 left and Van Martin then scored his fourth goal of the game with 29 seconds left as Seacoast pulled out a wild 9-9 tie with the Rifles, Joe Maffia with six goals, Matt Bolduc 2-1-3, Murch with two goals and Dom Fiorentino two assists for the Rifles and Anthony Pomarico two assists for the Spartans;

Mike Munroe scored two goals and dished out four assists, Zac Miller wore the hat, Teddy Mutryn posted a goal and two assists and Taighe Dwyer 1-1-2 as the Advantage scored a big win over the Rangers; and Brady Boisvert scored five goals and added an assist, Matt Dedecko dished out five assists, Cam Melone scored four goals and Gavin Rosher had a goal and two assists as the Knights delivered a big win over the Rangers.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Joe Maffia, Rifles

2008

The ’08 Chiefs Elites had a win and a tie. Dave Bosco scored six goals and dished out two assists, Spencer Thornborough added four assists, Zack Steely scored twice and Luke Sardone also had two assists in a 12-7 victory over the Magic, Carter Meyer with 1-2-3, Pat Callahan two goals and Cam Doull 1-1-2 in the loss – and Finnegan Sears scored with 1:26 left to give the Chiefs a 5-5 tie with Top Gun, Bosco with 2-1-3 for the Chiefs and Zack Gilroy two goals for Top Gun;

Noah Survilas scored four goals and added an assist as Advantage Ice defeated the Giants 7-3; No. 11 wore a natural hat in a 1:54 span of the second period and added an assist and Nick Kenney also wore a hat as the Advantage defeated the Crusaders 8-5 – Boorggard with a hat trick and Richard two goals in the loss; Giacomo Caliri scored twice and Brooke Harb scored what turned out to be the winner as the Chiefs ‘07s downed the Saints 5-2; and Aaron Gray scored the winner with 8:10 left and Corey Tow scored twice as the Chiefs ’08 Selects edged the Bears 3-2.
