Elite 9 Hockey League

The E9 Prep October Invitational took place this past weekend at Lovell Arena in Rockland, MA. The Prep Showcase league welcomed top programs like the Jersey Hitmen with one of their teams being #2 ranked in the New Jersey region and the Westchester Express which also has teams ranked in the top 10 in New York. 

The U15 Division shook out differently in this showcase. The Valley Jr Warriors had a strong weekend going 2-0. With wins over the Westchester Express and the East Coast Wizards. The two wins improved their ranking to #8 in MA and bumped them up in the E9 Prep league standings. The Boston Hockey Academy also finished the weekend without a loss going 2-0-2. Beating the Assabet Patriots and Westchester Express and tying the #10 USA-ranked Seacoast Performance Academy and the Springfield Jr. Thunderbirds.

In U16 action, the #3 MA-ranked Neponset Valley River Rats had a clean sweep of the weekend going 2-0. The River Rats defeated Lovell Academy and the Boston Advantage. The traveling #6 NJ ranked Jersey Hitmen had a strong weekend going 4-0. With wins over Assabet Patriots, East Coast Wizards, Valley Jr. Warriors, and the Boston Advantage.

In the 18U division, the #12 MA Ranekd Springfield Jr. Thunderbirds finished 2-0 with wins over the EC Wizards and Lovell Academy. Boston Hockey Academy played strong finishing 2-0-1 tying #1 NH-Ranked Seacoast Performance Academy and beating the Boston Advantage and Lovell Academy.

The E9 Prep showcase league now turns its attention to the playoffs on November 3rd-5th at the Rinks at Exeter in Exeter, NH. These top-ranked programs will go head to head to determine the 2023 E9 prep champions.
