Elite 9 Hockey League

The E9 Prep Showcase league wrapped up the season this weekend at the Prep Championship at the Haverhill Valley Forum in Haverhill, MA.

Congratulations to the U18 and U16 Neponset River Rats, and the U15 Seacoast Performance Academy for winning the championship in their respective age groups.

The U15 final was a nail-biter! Boston Hockey Academy Goaltender, Yaroslav Alpatov, was stellar in net against a tough SPA team. The back-and-forth battle was forced into overtime where it was eventually ended by Seacoast forward Timothy Kazda who banked home the GWG.

The U16 final was a tight one between the East Coast Wizards and the River Rats. The River Rats took the lead early, but the Wizards chipped away at the lead before running out of time. University of Maine commit, Michael Monroe, led the way for the River Rats with 2 goals and 1 assist in the 4-3 final.

The U18 final saw the 13th in the nation, Neponset River Rats shut out SPA for the Prep championship. The River Rats struck early in the first and did not look back as they rode their way to victory. The River Rats proved their elite caliber roster allowing just 2 goals in the playoffs on the backs of their goaltenders Ethan Ramonetti and Ben Skowronek
