Ben Merrill, a rising star, has taken a significant step toward his hockey career by being drafted into the NHL by the Montreal Canadiens. Merrill, grew up in Hingham, MA playing his youth career with the Boston Advantage. Merrill continued to impressive at St. Sebastian’s School, where he notched 18 goals and 19 assists in just 25 games last season. 

The 18-year-old defenseman prepares to join the Penticton Vees in the BCHL (British Columbia Hockey League) for the upcoming season. Merrill has committed to Harvard University for the 2025-26 season. 

Ben Merrill's joins a long list of Elite 9 alumni drafted into the NHL. Including NHL stars, Chris Krieder and Ryan Donato and future NHL stars Alex Steeves and Ryan Leonard.
